Crap. I have to pick just one song. I guess I knew this year would eventually come!
I narrowed it down to a final four, from which I eventually picked my winner. The other three, for the record, are: You Can Call Me All by Paul Simon, Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer and A Kind Of Magic from Queen. Some really decent tunes and there were so many other good ones to choose from too.
But, there can be only one. And in there year of Highlander, it will be Peter Gabriel’s interesting effort. Again, a classic 1980s video accompanies a booming track that sometimes makes sense, and often doesn’t. The live version is probably even better than the recorded work. Transport me back to the mid-80s now!
